8 Best Airbnbs in Central Amsterdam (2023)
airbnbs in asmterdam centraal
If you’re planning a trip to Amsterdam and looking for the best Airbnb in Amsterdam Centraal, you’re in the right place. After searching through thousands of Airbnbs in Amsterdam, we’ve rounded up the list of the best Amsterdam Airbnbs below that are the most beautiful, have the best reviews and are in the best location for your trip to Amsterdam.
Amsterdam is famous for its canals and unique architecture, making it a great European destination for staying somewhere unique or historic. The most common Amsterdam Airbnb property types available are canal houses and boathouses. I would recommend booking one or the other, as both options will provide a unique experience. We’ve included both types of Airbnb properties below.
One thing to note when considering booking your Amsterdam Airbnb is that the city center of Amsterdam is relatively small when compared to other European cities like Paris and Rome. The smaller scale of the city results in a smaller pool of Airbnb rental options available that can either sell out fast or be pricey. That being said, as soon as you have your travel dates in place, be sure to book your Amsterdam Airbnb in order to get the best available Airbnb property for your travels.

1) Canal Houseboat - Brouwersgracht Center
Sjor’s houseboat was a knockout. We had an incredible stay. From the moment we made the reservation he was a very communicative host. He spoke to us a few times to make sure we would have an easy stay to include directions and a welcome gift. The boat looks identical to the pictures and is very well insulated from the outside world when it comes to sound. We had a very memorable stay in Amsterdam.

2) Jordaan apartment with roof terrace
Mariam and Clemens’ place in the Jordaan neighborhood was a true highlight of our stay! The apartment itself is wonderful — clean, airy, beautiful, and remarkably located! But the true delight is in the connection with Clemens and Mariam, two deeply generous and thoughtful hosts who made us feel welcomed, supported, and right at home. We are grateful for this experience — the home and the hosts (and the neighbors!) made Amsterdam feel real and meaningful. 7 out of 5 stars!!!

4) Central studio in Amsterdam
This is one of the best airbnbs I have ever stayed in. The studio is beautiful and very thoughtfully planned. Everything is just like the pictures. The bed is comfy. The shower is amazing with hot water great water pressure. The shampoo/conditioner/soaps offered in the studio are high end and smell wonderfully. There is a hairdryer available with a DIFFUSER (curly girls you know how important that is!). A kitchen that we unfortunately didn’t get a chance to use much of but looked like all the things you could need. There is a cute nook outside to drink coffee and watch the birds. The locations is perfect. Within a mile from Amsterdam Central. Most everything is walkable from the studio but the neighborhood itself has most of what you would need including the best espresso we’ve had on our trip. There was even a pop-up farmers market one day at the end of the block. Do yourself a favor and book this place now before someone else does!! 100% recommend.

5) Leidse Square 5 star Luxury-apartment
This is an absolute gem in the heart of Amsterdam and am already dreaming about a return trip. Kathy went above and beyond any Airbnb host I have ever stayed with starting with checking in well before our trip to ensure we had what we needed and helping to reserve a parking spot in a nearby garage. Once we arrived, she helped me navigate there safely and was extremely warm and welcoming to my mother and my children. Being able to drop luggage early was such a relief and convenience and we were able to get our first day of adventure off to a great start! The apartment is absolutely wonderful - beautifully decorated, impeccably clean and so comfortable. The attention to detail was luxurious- from the bedding and beds, cozy bathrobes, lovely soaps and shampoos (we too went to buy products to take home!), beverages and their lighting. I love being able to dim the lights accordingly and their "light game" was on point! Location was spectacular. This is truly a gem - don't hesitate!

A beautiful apartment in an equally beautiful area of Amsterdam! You really can't beat the location - just around the corner from Vondelpark, and a few steps away from the train! There's plenty to do in the neighborhood, and we were easily able to travel throughout the city as well. Our hosts were also super responsive to messages throughout the check-in process. Would highly recommend!

7) Private 5*canalview, no stairs, in VOGUE’s top 5
We stayed for three nights in Mat and Romke’s beautiful canal view suite and it was the most beautiful apartment and location. The apartment itself was absolutely stunning, with lots of luxurious and thoughtful touches to make our stay beyond comfortable. Everything about the accommodation was incredibly high quality and made staying there very special indeed. The location could not have been better: central without being busy or noisy, and a walkable distance from everywhere we wanted to go. The canal view was gorgeous. The locals were very friendly too. The hosts were so warm and welcoming to us, and were very helpful with recommending local restaurants, wine bars, and excursions. My forgetful husband left his diary behind in a drawer and Mat very kindly posted it back to him straightaway. We were so happy with our stay and would recommend Mat and Romke’s apartment to anyone who is looking for somewhere very special to stay to make magical memories of Amsterdam.
