This place is gorgeous! It is even better looking than the photos. I have never lived in a place like this! It’s like straight back in time to the 15 centuries. The ceiling is so high and the room is so spacious. The selected furnitures and books represent the great taste of the owner. The breakfast is amazing too! Great selections and home made food for a fresh start of the day! Everything is great! This is a lifetime experience!

2) Cozy Design Apartment in San Niccolo

Silvia’s place was my home for 2 weeks and it absolutely felt like home! I came “home” everyday so glad that I had a beautiful, clean space that I could relax in. The apartment was actually bigger than I expected. I couldn’t have asked for a better location. As a solo, female traveler, I felt safe in the building and the surrounding area. Walkable to all the treasures Florence has to offer. Delicious, locally recommended restaurants a few steps away. The cohosts, Claudia and Gokhan are the loveliest people. Communication with them was quick and so pleasant. I felt that I could reach out to them anytime and they would be there to help with anything. Their place is definitely my number one choice to stay in Florence. Thank you for everything, Claudia and Gokhan. It was a dream!

3) Casa Pinti, a charming home in the Florence center

This apartment is the BEST place to stay in Florence. Carlo is kind and hospitable and he provided everything we could have needed for our stay. He met us at the door when we arrived, and even anticipated our late arrival due to our train being delayed! His recommendations were fabulous and organized on a nice map so they were easy to find. Everything is within walking distance! The apartment itself has such ambiance, decorated in a classical style with modern updates to the bathroom and kitchen areas. The espresso machine was a very nice touch, as we are caffeine fiends. The bed was so unbelievably comfortable! We honestly didn’t want to leave! When it was time for check out, Carlo personally came to see us off and even called a taxi for us. We will definitely be back and recommending to all our friends! Thanks Carlo!

5) Dream loft next to the Basilica of Santa Croce with a wonderful view of Florence

Truly one of a kind! If you have a love for beautiful art and antique style, this is the place for you. The decor alone was worth staying for but the view is really what made it special. With the Santa Croce cathedral just out your window, you are transported to another century. The streets are extremely quiet even with the square directly below you. I loved hearing the church bells ringing a different times of the day. Please do not let the stairs intimate you, you host will be there to meet you and assist you if you need it! And again, the climb is worth it for the views! I will definitely be staying here when I return to Florence!

6) Stylish Terrace on Boboli Gardens

We love, love, loved the apartment. The location just south of the bridge was perfect for us. A short walk to many attractions, but in a nice quiet neighborhood just outside of the crowded tourist zone. The apartment was very clean and beautifully decorated. We especially loved the kitchen and private courtyard. The building was also very clean, quiet, elegant and charming. Our hosts, Claudia and Daniela, were great. They quickly responded whenever we reached out to them. Daniela greeted us when we arrived to the apartment to check us in and answer any questions we had. She was very warm, welcoming, and helpful. She even helped us book a taxi the night before we left for the next morning. We would absolutely stay at this apartment again when we return to Florence.

We have been using airbnb for over 5 years now, if not more, and I have to say that Riccardo's place was the most spectacular we have stayed in. Situated in the heart of Florence, the apartment's location, spacious rooms and amenities are like no other. Riccardo and Mariagrazia were extremely helpful, from the check-in process to ensuring that we had everything we needed. The apartment was extremely clean with delightful touches throughout. We will definitely stay there again the next time we are in Florence.

8) Gem of a loft space with terrace on the Arno

Absolutely loved this space and the location! right on the river with an amazing terrace to watch the sun rise and set. beautiful, scenic walk to the center along the river. the space was super modern, clean, comfortable, well designed and had a ton of natural sunlight. outside terrace was a huge plus with a ton of beautiful vegetation to feel cozy as well as being immersed in nature in the heart of the city. and last, but not least, Dan is an incredible host. loads of recommendations that did not disappoint, whether it be where to eat and where to walk. if I wasn't already trying to buy a home in Florence already, i would definitely be staying here again...

10) Piazza Santa Croce charming penthouse with terrace

What can I say? I unwittingly stumbled into the coolest apartment in Florence during one of the year's biggest events, with the most gracious and welcoming hosts one could ever hope for. I could tell the apartment was lovely from the pics, but it's even better in person! The magnificent terrace, with its panoramic views of Santa Croce and beyond, was worth the price alone. The apartment itself is a work of art. There isn't a piece of furniture, fixture, appliance, or art I would change. In fact, I took many pictures to keep as inspiration and ideas for home back in the States. Both the hosts were gracious, great communicators, and shared a list of their favorite restaurants and things to do. They even arranged for my parking nearby, and Lorenzo met me at the unit to help me with my bags, get me settled in, and make a call to a favorite restaurant so I could grab a bite after my long journey that day. From now on, this is the ONLY place I will stay in Florence! Simply the best!

If you want to live like a Florentine local, look no farther than Marie’s lovely apartment! It’s a spacious and gracious art-filled oasis of peace in a very central neighborhood close to all Florence sights. The private terrace makes it extra special and Marie has thought of everything one might need while traveling. We enjoyed grocery shopping and making our own little meals at home just soaking up the atmosphere in peace. Thank you Marie, we hope to return.

Absolutely fantastic location in Florence!!! Great walking distance to everything important. Always felt safe in this area especially late night/ early morning hours getting home from dinner and late night strolls. This building and its architecture are absolutely beautiful inside. Lots of communal spaces that are breathtaking. Staff was so friendly and helpful getting us sorted. Everything was incredibly clean with a fantastic crisp artistic vibe. Amazing ceilings and windows. Would highly recommend this place.

Great location, beautiful apartment, great hosts! Lorenzo and Mirella were both quick to respond to questions. Mirella welcomed us personally at check in with instructions and restaurant recommendations, along with fresh grapes and a bottle of wine! The apartment was conveniently located right in the center of Florence near the market and close to everything. It had a cute balcony overlooking the city. Plentiful amenities provided that were really appreciated (fluffy towels and even shampoo and conditioner, along with excellent coffee essentials). Highly recommend!

14) I Medici : Refined Apartment Nestled in the Historic Center

My cousin and I stayed at Lorenzo's I Medici apartment for 3 nights recently on our first visit to Florence. Lorenzo made everything super easy for us, meeting us upon arrival and providing good directions for getting to the apartment. Waiting for us was a beautiful bijou historic apartment, with all we needed for our stay, including kettle and toaster, hairdryer and lovely linen. The apartment was on the first floor so easy to access and whilst small was very functional and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Lorenzo went out of his way to provide recommendations for where to eat and what to see to ensure we enjoyed our time in Florence. The apartment was well located, 5-10 minutes walk to David and around 15 to the Uffizi and a comfortable, flat 10 minute walk to the train station. We would thoroughly recommend Lorenzo and his apartments as your base in Florence.

15) "San Lorenzo" Apartment Deluxe

Lorenzo’s apartment is beautiful, comfortable, and well-furnished. The rooms are spacious and bright, with beautiful frescoes on the walls and ceilings. The kitchen is well-equipped. The bedroom has good storage, a comfortable bed, and black out shutters. The location is excellent. It is a short walk to the train station and the major sights, and is just across from the Mercato Centrale. Lorenzo is a very gracious and accommodating host. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to a return visit!

I have to say that this is my absolute favorite AirBnB apartment I have ever stayed at. Alessandro met us and was so friendly and helpful. The place is in an old historical building next to an art academy and every detail of the space is thought out from the bed linens to the art and decor. They have a list of recommendations for food etc., which is really helpful. We visited a couple of the restaurants and it was the best food we ate on our entire trip. I'd come back to Florence just to stay here again.

17) Destra Terrace 4th-Floor

Everything about our stay at Camilla's property was wonderful--exactly as described, clean and with everything we needed. Camilla was very hospitable and always responsive to our questions and needs. She gave us fantastic recommendations for restaurants, and we loved the neighborhood where her property was located. The views from the terrace and bedroom windows were amazing, and we loved looking out across the city. It was so easy to walk everywhere we needed to go, and we found some great neighborhood treasures, like the Sant'Ambrogio market, a sweet coffee shop/bakery right across the street, and our favorite gelataria, all very close! Camilla went out of her way to help us and to make us feel welcome. She was always very responsive, and we were so grateful for the help she gave securing an early morning taxi for us on our day of departure. I will definitely recommend staying with Camilla to any friends traveling to Florence. It was a fabulous experience.
