Where to Buy Baby Clothes and Baby Gifts in Paris

Taylor Weitzel - The Weithouse

Bonjour

Welcome to the baby section of The Weithouse! My name is Taylor and I am lucky to be the mother of my first little girl.

We were blessed to be able to carry her pregnancy and give birth to her in Paris, France!

My experience being pregnant and giving birth in Paris will always be one I remember, and I spent 9 months (and the ones following) researching and purchasing all the baby things in Paris.

In this post, I’m sharing my favorite places to shop for baby items and baby clothing in Paris, so that during your time in Paris, you can find a special French gift for the little ones in your life.

If you’re pregnant or know someone who is pregnant and are also headed to Paris, there’s no better place to purchase a special gift for the little one coming your way (or already in existence)!

Paris has wonderful French baby stores and French baby items available for the bébé in your life, and below we’ve rounded up our favorite places to buy both baby items and baby clothes in Paris.

As you’re walking around Paris during your travels, you’ll likely pass locations for many of these Paris baby boutiques, so you don’t need to necessarily go out of your way to find them.

And if you’re lucky enough to be in Paris either in January or July, you will benefit from “Les Soldes,” - the big sales that happen twice a year in Paris, meaning that you can find those teeny tiny items at half the price!

Where to Buy Baby Clothes in Paris: Cyrillus Paris

The Grand Magasins

A sort of one stop shop when searching for baby clothes in Paris, each of the grand magasins (department stores) has a floor dedicated to baby items, made up of different baby brands, both French and international.

The Grand Magasins I recommend visiting for baby clothes and items are Galeries Lafayette, BHV and Le Bon Marche, and the French baby brands to look out for in the department stores are:

  • Petit Bateau: At Galeries Lafayette, BHV and Le Bon Marche. They also have brick and mortar stores all over Paris.

  • Cyrillus Paris: More than just a French baby goods store, however they have baby clothing available at Galeries Lafayette. They also have brick and mortar stores in Paris.

  • Cadet Rousselle: An affordable French baby clothes brand available at BHV and Galeries Lafayette.

  • Bonpoint: This is a luxury French baby clothing brand, which you can find on the baby floor of Le Bon Marche.

  • Jacardi: Another luxury French baby clothing brand, likely at all department stores and also at brick and mortar stores across Paris.

  • Petit Sézane: A mini line of baby clothes from the French clothing brand, Sézane, located on the baby floor of Le Bon Marche.

  • Tartine et Chocolat: A luxury baby brand for that extra special gift!

Where to Buy Baby Clothes in Paris: Natalys

Natalys

Natalys is an adorable French baby store offering everything from maternity clothes to baby gear. The clothes are priced mid range and they offer the loveliest French fabrics and designs for the little one coming your way. They recently closed a lot of their store fronts in Paris, but you can find a showroom style store at Natalys and Friends in the 1st arrondissement.

Where to Buy Baby Clothes in Paris: Smallable

Smallable

Smallable is a hip lifestyle store, offering everything from women’s clothing to home decor. Their baby and kid section is pretty large and is located in the 6th arrondissement near Le Bon Marche.

Garbo and Friends sleep sack available at Smallable.

Where to Buy Baby Clothes in Paris: Monoprix

Monoprix

Monoprix is a department store in France similar to Target (or the closest thing to one in my opinion) and offers everything from groceries to clothing. I personally love their baby clothes. I’m not sure if it’s the French equivalent of shopping at Walmart or not, but I didn’t really care because all of the baby clothes are so adorable. They have les soldes in January and July where you can purchase things at a discount, but the prices aren’t too high in comparison to some of the other options in Paris.

Where to Buy Baby Items in Paris: Fleux

Fleux

Fleux is another trendy home decor store in Paris, and has a few locations on one street offering various items from home decor to clothing. There main stores in Paris are located along Rue Sainte-Croix de la Bretonnerie. The baby/kid store has some French brand clothing options as well as other baby items (like pacifiers, swaddles, etc.)

Where to Buy Baby Gifts in Paris: Le Petit Souk

Le petit Souk

Another Paris baby/children’s store to visit while shopping for a baby in Paris is Le Petit Souk. Their store is really similar to a Souk (if you’ve ever been to Morocco) and the store is head to toe in baby and kid’s items. They offer less clothes, but any and every baby toy you can imagine. If you’re looking for a baby doll, this is the place to go.

Where to Buy Baby Clothes in Paris: Zara Home

Zara Home

Zara Home is not a French specific brand and has international locations. However, if you don’t live in a big city, you might not have access to one that frequently, and they offer the cutest baby items. Their largest and most impressive location in Paris is next to Le Bon Marche. I purchased a few onesies for our baby as well as a cute Santa suit at Christmas time.
